



Visually stunning, the Golden Lion boasts the largest thatched roof in the North of England. The finest fresh local ingredients are used to create a variety of tempting meals that are sure to please. Signature dishes include Hartlepool cod in our own Golden Lion beer batter with hand cut chips and a large selection of freshly prepared homemade desserts. ‘Catch of the Day’ fish is a real treat for seafood lovers. As well as our own Golden Lion Ale we have a selection of traditional real ales and fine wines to enjoy.
CHEF’S RECOMMENDATIONS
To start try our Classic French Onion Soup, Chicken Liver Paté with Orange and Thyme accompanied by Red Onion Marmalade. The Chef highly recommends Slow Cooked Belly Pork on a bed of Black Pudding Mash with Scrumpy Cider and Sage sauce. Follow this with traditional Sticky Toffee Pudding or Crème Brulée.
